I’m talking about the translucent orange bars of traditional Pears soap.
They put it in a heat sealed plastic bag inside the box, which keeps it soft and doesn’t let it harden like other soaps. Harder soaps last longer, naturally.
I got about 6 showers out of one bar.
A Wrights soap bar in contrast has lasted at least 12, which was just wrapped in paper and not packaged in a plastic bag!
Tip? If / when you buy Pears soap, take it out of the bag as soon as you get it home and allow it to harden.
As an aside, the physical size of the bar seems to be about half the size I remember it, but maybe I last used it when I was a child with smaller hands?!
